The den project we started week before last is finished and it's soooo everything!

My client was sure of ONLY one thing. She wanted a comfortable couch. 😆🤷🏾‍♀️

My job as a designer is to pull together all the elements my clients can't quite explain and make them come to life. I always say "Design is a feeling to me." So, when a client is expressing what they want even if it's not cohesive and all over the place there's an emotion in that and those are the ques I pick up on and run with.

Most of the time they don't know how to fully explain what they want. I tell them to not be ashamed of this. Infact, these are my favorite kinds of clients. I call them blank slates. They have no idea how it's gonna turn out but they trust me enough to know it's gonna be great. ☺

You get a feeling of what a client might want just by talking to them and picking up on key words here and there. To me, that's the beauty about design and being a interior designer. It's the connection I have with people that carry into my spaces. ❤

Needless to say, my client loved it! Moody, zen, den vibes. ✔

So, what's on the agenda for next week? On the previous post we discussed me adjusting my work schedule in order to check some to-do tasks off our wedding list.

Engagement photos are up next so, we'll be flying to Chicago to get those done. I can't wait! It's always a good time when I'm in my city. I'll be sure to let you guys know how it went. 🥰
