Everything All At Once

Hi guys! It's been a while since we were here. How are ya? I haven't just been around twiddling my thumbs. A lot's been going on. A hurricane or two, a fire, a remodel, and a cancer scare. I am fine! I had a procedure done, and the pathology results came back and we're all clear form breast cancer. My God! Is mighty. That's all. Not gonna lie this past month had me in my head and feelings. I'm sure you can imagine my trife. Of all the things I was worried about, it was the wait that got to me the most. I'm just one of those people that looks for solutions before there is a problem. If this situation has taught me nothing else, it's made me realize everything can't be rushed. Even though not knowing was driving me bonkers, everything happened when it was supposed to and how it was supposed to.

So now y'all wanna know about the fire? We're not gonna talk about that, lol. Let's just say I almost burned down the house from the kitchen whilst watching the football team I had money on blow my bet in the final minute. Not gonna name no names, but Eagles suck.

Hurricane Helene and Milton came through and left absolute destruction in Florida. Thankfully, all our losses were cosmetic. Everyone is fine. Hurricane Helene and Milton caused so much devastation to many. We did lose electricity for a few days, and that opened our eyes immediately to what we needed now that we're here in Tampa. Generator. Stat. On the other hand, in the 20 plus years I lived in Florida, countless hurricanes and tornadoes, we never lost power. This was definitely new.

Also, new to me was FEMA. With the many declared state of emergencies over the 20 yrs I've lived in Florida, I didn't know anything about FEMA. Well, let me clarify I know about FEMA. I know they come in to help with rescue, food, and medical needs but, that was the extent of my knowledge.

Maybe you're like me. Maybe you're not. In either case, FEMA provides monetary assistance to both homeowners AND renters (regardless of insurance) for loss of personal property and home repairs. Fill out your application here.

Ok, so recently, I've been designing a project remotely. This is totally new for me, but I have to say I've never met a challenge I didn’t crush. It's been loads of screen time. That, I'm not so cheeky about, but the project is going great!

What else? Oh, house hunting in Tampa has turned out to be harder than I thought, lol. Either it's great, but the location is wonky or it's awesome, but it's next to a trailer park. What? If you live in Tampa or know of Tampa, then you know what I'm talking about. We're not giving up, but it's looking like we'll be building ground up. So, yaay! (sarcasm) I know all too well all the things that can happen when building. What timeline? Add a year. What budget? Shot. Lol! Anyway, whatever, we're alive, and life is great!

Totally out of left field, but here it is. Everyone isn't happy for your successes. They praise silently when you're down. So don't stay down! ...duh!

Till next time. Later readers 😊
