Oui M'fu*kin Oui
My wife let the cat out of the bag because she can't hold water, lol but I really can't blame her for spilling the tea on this because I would've been big mad had I not been give the opportunity to do the most most. I always do the most in terms of packing my wardrobe for trips, but for this trip, it's always been my life's plan to do the upmost most! That's two most's, in case you didn't get that, lol!
She's taking me to Paris for my birthday this year! Oui oui! I always dreamed of going to Paris, but there was a stipulation I put on myself. I wanted to go with the love of my life, and guess what? It's happening! I guess if I never fell in love, I'd never go to Paris ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ, lol, sike, thatโs a stretch. Dreams do come true! Once again, it's happening for me, lol. Let's not forget I got married in Tuscany Italy in 2022. Thatโs also the same year I turned 40. My wife wanted to do this trip then, but y'all I was traveled OWUUUUUT. After the wedding, we traveled around Europe for 10 days, I was tied, not tired, tied, lol. We got married in September, and my birthday is in December, so yea, while I soooo appreciated the thoughtfulness of my love, my request was for her to "stateside" me, puh-lease, lol and she did. She planned the most perfect trip to NYC, I wrote about it a little bit ago, take a look. But, if I'm really being honest, yall, I was too tired to hijack the planning of my birthday trip to Paris last year because we know that's exactly what was going to happen, lol. I was all planned out from the wedding, whew. Wrote about that as well. It's such a good blog post.
I know, I know what you're thinking and I will. I'll let her do her thing and plan for me, but I will have an itinerary for "US" too. ๐
I've already started working on my wardrobe mood board, so, good call on the wife for letting me know in advance because this will take some preparation. To my wife, thank you to my wife (you know the viral song) ๐
Sooooo let's address the elephant before y'all start talking about bed bugs and whatnot Plaza Athénée and other like establishments would nevaaaaah. ๐
Anyway, that's that on that, lol.
Oh, I also plan to take an empty suitcase because shopping is definitely on the itinerary. So we're up to 4 and a possible on the suitcase situation for me. ๐ซฃ โบ๏ธ
So what's been up, guys? Apart from my birthday trip in December, we're also preparing to move to another city. ๐ณ
Yes, just after the renovation on our current home, we are moving, lol. Wifey got a huge opportunity, something she's always wanted to do, so of course we couldn't pass it up. That's life, right? Lol.
Also coming up in the near future is my sister's wedding in February, at home in Chicago. On top of that and everything else we have going on, I'm also trying to squeeze in a trip to celebrate the new year ๐ ๐ .....yea, crazy. I know.
So what's up, guys? I'm so excited for my birthday trip and ready to stand on Pont dโArcole bridge and recreate the scene from "Something Gotta Give" where Diane Keaton proclaimed her love to Jack Nicholson.
To bring it full circle, we might dine at "Le Grand Colbert," the restaurant Jack exits just before stumbling onto the bridge. Can you tell this is one of my favorite movies? ๐
Oooooh, the cherry on top would be if it snows. A white Paris for my birthday would be dreamy. ๐ฅฐ
I digress, I digress! Lol.
It has been such a blast catching y'all up to the craziness, that is my life. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and of course, I'm hosting. What's on your Thanksgiving menu? Are you hosting or showing up? Let me know!
Till next time, later readers. ๐
