It's Done!

We did it! We did it! It's done. We got married in Tuscany Italy. The end. Just kidding! Y'all would have my head if that was all I gave yโ€™all. Especially, after hyping this future blog post up while sharing teasing snippets on my socials. We want the deets ma'am!... would be the number one comment consensus. ๐Ÿ˜„

Well itโ€™s here, Iโ€™m here, all the deets will be provided and it got something even better this time for y'all...visuals! We have have visuals people. A whole video log is available on my YouTube channel, linked below! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

First thing first, so how was it? It was literally like something I thought of in my head and then those thoughts grew legs, jumped out and poured into real life but better...makes sense? Maybe, maybe not? Put It like this I had high expectations for how I wanted this entire wedding weekend to go and those expectations weโ€™re exceeded. ๐Ÿคฏ

This is a huge deal y'all, cause Ima tell ya, my expectations causes me to talk to myself sometimes. To give you a visual of what that looks like, itโ€™s me advising myself to pipe down, telling myself this might be a lil too much. ๐Ÿ˜„

Ok, so the venue. I'm still getting questions about how I found my venue. Every one of my guests, even most of my vendors, who are Italian asked as well, lol! Simply put, I'm like a dog with a bone once a thought pops up in my head and right from the jump for as long as I can remember Iโ€™ve always wanted an intimate garden wedding and if you read one of my blogs I wrote many moons ago you know that this garden wedding had to take place in Italy because I spoke that into the universe when I was last in Tuscany in 2018. ๐Ÿ˜Š

When I came across Capannelle Wine Resort I knew it was the one. I didn't look at any other places after it. It was literally everything I had pictured in my mind. The garden was lush and perfect. The grounds were spectacular! Plus, the venue had sleeping accommodations! I mean, com'on if i wasn't already sold, lol. I could have everything in one place and not have to worry about driving at the end of the night? Yes, please!

Now here's the thing. Our venue also operates as a working winery. Definitely a plus but what that also means is, it's open to the public. So for instance, if a wine tour is scheduled or if someone wanted to stay the night in one of the villas they could. Well that was one thing I didn't want. You know how, for example, If you've been to a wedding at a resort sometimes there are random people hanging out on their balconies as you're saying your vows and then you have the bold ones that will actually join the party. Um, no, definitely did not want that. So, the only way to solve that problem was to rent the entire winery exclusively, so no wine tours, no coming to buy bottles, no accommodations. All blocked out for our wedding weekend. Trust me, worth every big penny. ๐Ÿ˜„

The Villa was absolutely beautiful. Five of suites were located in the main house and two villas stood alone on the property. Breakfast was served every morning complimentary and was delicious. Of course the 7 rooms didn't house all of our guests so I arranged three other accommodations giving our guests a choice. All were within a 15 min drive but almost all of our guests stayed at Castello Di Spaltenna which was a 5 min drive from the venue.

Our wedding weekend consisted of three events.

Upon arrival the guests who stayed at the villa had their welcome packages waiting for them in their room and the other guests received theirs later that evening at the welcome reception.

For the welcome dinner our guests were treated to freshly made pizzas at will with a variety of toppings upon request and as much gelato as their belly's could hold. Our chef was amazing, compliments all night long! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

It was truly the most perfect night. We didn't go to bed until 3am. ๐Ÿ˜„

The wedding day was....blissful, that's the word. The best word to describe how it was and how I felt. I walked down the aisle to "All my life" by K-Ci & Jojo played by our string trio. It was magical.

The details...whew. Y'all know I'm a stickler for them.

I had name placements made so guests could easily find their seats. They also served as keepsakes unintentionally, โ˜บ๏ธ every one of our guests took their names with them.

We're huge movie buffs in my household so we had our string trio play movie soundtracks during cocktail hour. Our guests loved it, saying they knew every song.

Every menu was designed specifically for each guest according to their dietary preferences, which they filled out on our wedding website when they RSVP'd. The choices were Steak, Chicken, Fish and of course a Vegetarian/ Tofu option. As promised on a previous blog post, Iโ€™ve provided a link where you can view our full wedding website. Not sure how long the site stays active after your wedding date has passed, so take a gander quickly if youโ€™re interested. ๐Ÿ˜€

For the welcome dinner we even had non dairy gelato options for those who were lactose intolerant. ๐Ÿ˜Š

An allergy section was also provided on our wedding website for those who had allergies, like me. I can't have certain nuts. ๐Ÿ˜•

These small touches go a long way and your guests really will appreciate them. I know ours did. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Oh! I definitely cannot forget all of our vendors and staff who were/are superb! Every last one of them have been tagged on my socials. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I thought I was going to give a full rundown of our outfits and designers but it's looking like that has to be a whole blog on its own. Until then you can see me looking like a crazy person lugging my heavy dress through multiple airports on my PIAT YouTube Channel along with the tour of the villa. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Guys this has been fun. I missed y'all! We still have so much catching up to do!

Till next time. Later readers. โ˜บ๏ธ
