Piggyback. If you read my last blog and guessed NYC for my birthday trip, you were right!
Let's hop right into the details. My love planned the best trip. Like I said I'm not an easy person to plan a trip for. You guys know I'm the self-proclaimed master planner, lol. My love said she was a bit nervous as she's not a planner lol. I'd advise, if you're like her in that sense, you only need to rely on your knowledge of your person. Focus on their likes, dislikes and let that be your guide. Doing this will at least put you on the right path. If you need a lil more help play a game of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and phone a friend, lol. If that's not an option, refer to the tools at your disposal. That's what Natasha confessed to doing lol.
Knowing what my likes and dislikes are, she only needed to ask herself two questions. Is it comfortable and is it aesthetically pleasing? If yes proceed to ➡️ go. It's after “go” that most people have problems with lol. So, she relied on her tools. She used American Express to look and book this trip. American Express Platinum card basically comes with a in-built travel consultant. Just log on through your app, put in your destination, and all the Fine Hotels + Resorts will appear. She simply chose from the list and wallah a pleasantly pleased wife, lol.
Perhaps my favorite part about this is the 5X points we'll receive on travel hahaha! You guys know I’m all about the extra benefits you receive from the money you were going to spend anyway.
It doesn't stop there either! You can use Resy to find and book the hottest restaurants in NYC plus you have first-dib access to the latest concerts and experiences.
We stayed at Mr. C hotels. It's a boutique-style hotel and I absolutely loved it. I probably fell in love with boutique styled hotels a few years ago. They are small but personable. The staff at Mr. C’s were very attentive and helpful. Natasha mentioned it was my birthday at check-in and a few hours later the concierge came up with a bottle of champagne and a slice of cake. It's the little things like that, that make for a memorable moment. 😊
My birthday trip was a week long trip. Feeling confident about her first choice my love booked accommodations at another hotel. We stayed at Conrad in Midtown NYC. I've stayed at the Conrad chain before (downtown NYC) so I knew what to expect. You can expect luxury. And the 24hr room service is not too shabby either. 😉
My birthday dinner was at Manhatta in Manhattan and it was divine. The food complemented the views. 60 floors up in the sky, you definitely feel like you're somewhere special.
All in all I had the best birthday! And Merry Christmas, I vlogged for you guys! Check out the hotels and restaurants we visited for yourself on my YouTube channel. Happy Holidays!
Till next time. Later readers. 😊 Ronda
